FreeZone 4.5L -105 °C
The upright stainless steel collector coil holds 4.5 liters of ice before defrosting. Two 1/2 hp HCFC/CFC-free refrigeration systems cool the collector to -105 °C (-157 °F) at 60 Hz or -102 °C (-152 °F) at 50 Hz. This model is suitable for low eutectic point samples, including acetonitrile and dilute methanol or ethanol.

The upright stainless steel collector coil holds 8 liters of ice before defrosting. A single 3/4 hp HCFC/CFC-free refrigeration system cools the collector to -50 °C (-58 °F), making it ideal for aqueous samples.

Compact benchtop design with a small footprint
Vacuum break valve bleeds air into the system when power to the freeze dryer or vacuum pump is shut off. If a power outage lasts less than ~5 minutes, the system restarts automatically. If the outage exceeds ~5 minutes and the collector warms above safe limits, the freeze dryer will not restart automatically.
