The Smart SHS design by A&D ensures long-term durability and low cost of ownership. In internal testing, it withstood 10 million repeated loadings without failure. With proper use and care, it offers a long, reliable service life.

Automatic self-calibration (ASC) ensures consistent accuracy by allowing the balance to calibrate itself using its internal weight. It can do this automatically in response to ambient temperature changes to prevent sensitivity drift, at set time intervals, or at up to three specific times during the day. Internal calibration can also be performed manually at any time with a single key press.
There is also internal weight value correction. If the internal weight value shifts over time, it can be corrected by using an external reference weight or by manually entering a correction value.
